Critical Skills Employment Permit
Ireland's premier employment permit designed to attract highly skilled professionals in tech, engineering, healthcare, and finance, offering a rapid 2-year pathway to unconditional Stamp 4 permanent residence and EU citizenship.
Who this pathway suits
Ireland is the European headquarters for the world's leading technology, pharmaceutical, and financial enterprises. The Critical Skills Employment Permit is designed specifically to encourage skilled professionals to build long-term careers in Ireland.Unlike standard work permits, the CSEP is completely exempt from the Labour Market Needs Test, meaning Irish employers can hire overseas candidates immediately without advertising to the domestic workforce. The permit offers the fastest route to permanent residency in Western Europe: after just 21 months of employment on a CSEP, permit holders apply for Stamp 4 permission, granting complete freedom to work for any employer, become self-employed, or start a business, with naturalization as an Irish (EU) citizen after 5 years.
