Eligibility at a glance
- Internationally recognized record of exceptional and outstanding achievement
- Nominated by an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or peak Australian body in your field
- Ability to earn at or above the Fair Work High Income Threshold (FWHIT) or demonstrate exceptional future earning capacity
- Targeted sectors: Digitech, Medtech, Energy, Agri-food, Space, Defence, Financial Services, Circular Economy
- No age limit (special advisory if under 18 or 55+)
How the process works
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Global Talent / National Innovation taskforce
- Receive unique invitation identifier
- Lodge Subclass 858 permanent residency application via ImmiAccount
- Direct grant of unconditional Australian Permanent Residence

- Curriculum Vitae detailing international recognition, publications, patents, awards, Form 1000 nomination from peak Australian industry body, income proof
